He said the mall was among the three his government planned for the state, adding that work had already started at the Onitsha and Awka malls.

Obi also disclosed that the hotel is entirely owned by the Anambra State government, assuring that his government would complete it.

“There are some projects we may not complete, but we shall set out the money for their completion which we have saved over the years”, Obi said.

But while inspecting the two bridges over Agulu lake which are under construction, Obi said the idea was to open up the entire area and promote tourism in the state.

He disclosed that the state government was planning to build a similar hotel at Ogbunike Cave as part of the promotion of tourism, stressing that since no final decision had been taken, that it would be for his successor to look into that.

Obi called on the people of the state to vote in Dr Willie Obiano as a man with the vision to continue the development of the state along the desired path.

In another development, Obi Thursday flagged off the construction of Ekwulobia- Ezenifite road. Obi said the flag-off was the fulfilment of the promise he made to the people of the town after the consideration of the critical nature of the road as connecting artery.

Also, the Commissioner for Works, Callistus Ilozumba, said the contractor handling the job, IDC, had been tested and trusted. He, however, called on the people of the towns to take ownership of the projects.

Obi also presented two life ambulances to the state teaching hospital. He said it was part of his commitment to the health sector in the state.
